A New Natural History Gallery

In May 2012 we opened our first new gallery at The Exploration Place since we re-opened in 2001; the Biome is a brand new home for our most unusual (and most popular) staff; those who sport exoskeletons and those who eat mice!

With an interactive floor, a revamped Nature Exchange, brand new Critter Kitchen and more, this new, permanent gallery, exploring Life in all of its many forms, adds some 2,000 square feet of exhibit area to the Museum.

Long-time favourites like Sally and Cream have new digs and our team of Trained Brains are just dying to show you around.

Meet, Greet and See What the Critters Like To Eat:

10:30am - Get up close and personal with our resident critters in the Biome
11:30am - FREE family-friendly science demos for preschoolers and school aged children in our Atrium.
2:30pm - Come to the Biome to learn about some of our critters and see what they like to eat.

When the critters are not eating or visiting with museum guests, our critters are getting their valuable beauty rest.

Please note that demonstrations in our Atrium are free. Regular admission rates apply for gallery entrance which inlcudes the Biome. For details about memberships and drop in rates please go to:
