Explorations Gallery

Upstairs is our Explorations Gallery which can be described as all things living, or have lived. This gallery has over 30 species of critters, including snakes, salamanders, a rosy haired tarantula and a wide variety of lizards. There are also specimens of items not found in this region, including ocean life. There are also samples of fur, antlers and many other items that students can be "hands on" with to experience. There are Exploration Boxes with one theme for each letter of  E-X-P-L-O-R-A-T-I-O-N. Learn more about "O"ptics, "X"-rays and "L"ight with these fun-filled activity boxes. As well we have a 1000 gallon fish tank with Fraser River White Sturgeons and other local river fish. Be prepared for a hands-on experience with local and not-so-local critters!
