On March 13th, 2020 The Exploration Place Museum & Science Centre closed to the public due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) until Spring 2021.

We appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and support as we all work our way through this difficult time.  Most of our team is working from home and taking the opportunity to connect online through our social media channels and we have curbside pick up for our gift shop.

Memberships:

All memberships have been placed on hold effective of the date of our closure on March 13, 2020.   We will be proactively extending the expiry date of all memberships to The Exploration place impacted by this closure.  We are unable to provide any refunds on memberships. We want to assure you that you will not lose any time on your membership due to this closure.  Your membership at The Exploration Place supports us as a Northern BC non-profit organization and registered charity whose mission is to preserve our local history and foster lifelong learning in the areas of science, technology, heritage, and culture.

Gift Shop & Curbside Pick Up:

While our building is closed we have worked out a system to purchase gift shop items and provide curbside pick up. We can only accept credit cards at this time (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). Now more than ever PLEASE #supportlocal charities and businesses like ours!

2. A member of our team will look what we have in stock and email you a quote with further instructions for payment over the phone and curbside pickup.

Our gift shop is important in supporting our organization. Non-medical Mask Museum Fundraiser (while quantities last - ALL SALES ARE FINAL NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS):

This is not a medical device. It's purpose is to cover the mouth and nose in order to help contain the wearer's respiratory droplets, such as spitting when we talk, coughing etc. it does not have a filter of any kind. Made from 100% polyester, is machine washable and can be tumble dried. Constructed as two separate layers of fabric, with an elastic band that wraps entirely around the head for a snug fit. This product needs to be washed prior to first use, and every use.

Camps, School Programs, and Birthday Parties:

Special events and programming, including March Break camps have been cancelled.  All Birthday Parties have been cancelled until further notice. We have been contacting clients and providing full refunds for these programs.  Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding these programs and refunds.  Currently, registration for our summer camps is open with a disclaimer regarding Covid-19. 

Facility Rentals:

All facility rentals are cancelled until further notice and any deposits paid have been refunded.  Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding any booked facility rentals.
